GOAL USA GOLF TOURNAMENT

On Friday May 16th, the first ever GOAL USA golf tournament was held in the highly exclusive Maidstone Golf Club. In the howling wind and pouring rain, 32 players traveled to the East Hamptons to participate in the event, despite the inclement weather. Irish Pro Golfer Christy O’Connor was among them, and perhaps not surprisingly, a member of the team that collected the prize for lowest net score.

The rain was relentless and the wind bitter, but guests entered into the spirit of the day, cheered by the sheer beauty of the course and surroundings, and the ultimate aim of raising funds for GOAL’s

work with the poorest of the poor.

The day began with a buffet lunch, and ended with some much needed drinks by the fireside of the club’s ‘Tap Room’. A prize giving ceremony and live auction completed the day.
