TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern joined big names from the sporting world yesterday to launch Jersey Day for children's charity GOAL.
Rugby stars Shane Byrne and Gordon D'Arcy joined Mr Ahern, Charlie Reynolds, four, and GAA legend Micheal O Muircheartaigh to encourage people to wear sports tops on October 19.
Since 1977, GOAL has provided $795 million in aid to the most vulnerable
people worldwide on an exceptionally low administration base. GOAL USA is registered in the
US as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and contributions are deductible
to the fullest extent allowed by the law.
