IRELAND should boycott the Beijing Olympics in protest at China's veto on UN intervention in Sudan. That's the claim of Goal boss John O'Shea who said: "A boycott is the only action that would make China sit up and listen."
China is a major buyer of Sudan's oil and has blocked moves to put peacekeeping troops in the crisis-hit Darfur province.
More than 400,000 have died in fighting between rebels and the government. |
