Sir,
Tyrannical former Ugandan Prime Minister Milton Obote was given a full
state funeral last week – despite being accused of killing 500,000
of his own people.
The Ugandan government which receives €35 million in aid from the
Irish Government every year sent seven ministers to the airport in Kampala
to receive the remains.
Obote had been living in Zambia – another recipient of millions
of Irish Government aid since being ousted in 1985.
